How downloader bots actually work
You send the bot a link (a YouTube video, a TeraBox share, etc.), and it fetches the content server-side and sends it back to you as a file or video message inside Telegram. Nothing installs on your device — the bot does the downloading, not you.
What to check before using one
- Stick to bots with an actual vote history — a downloader bot with no track record is a bigger risk than most categories, since you're routing files through it.
- Check what it says it supports — some are YouTube-only, others handle TeraBox, Instagram, or general direct links; read the description before assuming.
- Watch for size/length limits — most free downloader bots cap file size or video length; large files may fail silently or need a different bot.
- Don't forward anything sensitive — same rule as any third-party bot: it's run independently, not by TelegramDir.
